There has been a few issues lately that need to be addressed. I have to get through a real life issue that can't be put on hold. That being said , here's the plan.

Keep in mind this will not happen over night. I know people don't always have time to game, with busy life styles. I will, as soon as I can, try to put up a couple of servers.

One will be a dod 1.3 and the other will be either source or a MW2 ( depending on how much I will be able to afford ).

I will make every attempt to bring back as many members as I can. Along with this we will recruit. I game out there and trust me when I say, people still know who the Buxom Bombshells are and respect us.

A little story: I was gaming on a server ( I won't mention which one ) and a player gave me some crap. One of the players ( non-admins ) spoke up immediately and said, " Hey buddy, that's a Buxom Bombshell. They've been aroung forever, so show some respect". That made me feel really proud.

We can be this again. It will take the kind of dedication and caring that we all exhibited before. If we donate as a clan we can put up servers for all the games we play. $5 - $10 dollars a month will not kill anybody. Skip a coffee and donut one day. It can be done, IF you want it. I won't give up and I hope you don't either.

If there are going to be a couple of servers funded by whoever volunteers to donate then I think that those who donate should have a say as too which games we run.
Maybe set up a paypal account work out the monthly cost and divide this amoungst the donators.
I think it's crucial that we should all donate if possible and not let the burden fall on one person ie: Lida

Good basic idea Lida. Without you this place would be a total wasteland.

DoD 1.3? Since I haven't played DoD in years...what does it look like? Is it a good team game? The old one was to a degree...is this kind of the same? Will people be interested in playing this game? Are enough people playing to fill a server?

I kind of like Grace's thoughts. Whatever, I'm up for donating and trying to keep this clan going. I do wonder if the old members really would want to play DoD again though.

Certainly, without a server reqruitment is difficult. Past $10 per month though in this economy it might be tough to get people to donate.

I'm willing to contribute as well, and may have access to some hosting options. The specific games we host will definitely drive the direction of this clan. Historically we were DoD and WW2 in general. Lately we have a lot of players on L4D2, TF2, BF2, etc. and a few DoD diehards plus some who bounce in and out of all of the above. I also agree with Grace in that the dedicated gamers are gonna be those with skin in the game, and should have greater say.

APOC has been fairly successful, even if it is a bunch of ASBOs. Should we consider being more involved in that directly rather than trying to recreate it all on our own? I'm happy to pursue either option as long as we get back to gaming again!

I think $10 sounds about right but it depends on how many of us can donate, but I don't think anyone should shell out more than anyone else.

I could do $10 a month. I like the idea of getting something......anything going. I still dig DOD and DOD Source. Need to get some PC upgrades for anything else.

Yes it has to a point. Nan says this knowing I'm an |APoC| admin.

I like what i'm hearing. Let's not rush. Let's talk about this over the next few weeks. I say this because I want to get it right this time.

I'm not the person to handle finances. What we need is people who have specific talents ie: servers, finance handling, etc to step up and volunteer.

We are heading in the right direction for sure.

Hopefully other members will see this post and give opinions.

|APoC| is a gaming community where friends meet and game together. It is made up of members from Pucker Factor ( now gone ), Kustom Kettle, Buxom Bombshells, Dawgg, Hells Kitchen, etc.
