So I'm wondering if there are going to be underground stores selling fries made with trans fat at the start of the year.

For those wondering what I'm talking about, California banned transfat use in restaurants starting new years. I just think it's ridiculous.

It's not that parents today are super lazy and just take their kids to get fast food that makes them fat, it's the trans fat in the fries. So feel free to get that big mac, super sized trans fat free fries and gallon of coke. So much healthier.

What? Hey, a little socialism is a good thing. Without common responsibilities we're just a bunch of animals. Have some really bad things happen to you like: lose your job and home and run through your savings. Charities won't be able to fill that gap. How about a little hand-out from Uncle Sam to help get you back on your feet? Need a few government checks to feed your kids when you lost that job? You against that? Every man for himself always? Want to get rid of FHA? They've helped thousands of families get their first home. Don't have health insurance and your wife is having a breach birth? Want to visit the hospital emergency ward? Oops! You have no money? I guess your wife and kid will just have to die then. Aren't we more civilized than that Lida? Weren't you telling Grace that English healthcare was sounding good on that other thread? "Well said Grace." Or were you just complimenting his usage of English? All of the folks out there complaining about "socialism" had better think about it some more. Now, I'm not saying we should go to extremes here, but we need a bit of "socialism" or we lose our humanity. I'm not a Christian (or a fan or member of any religion for that matter), but I think Jesus had the right idea on a bunch of issues. Where are these "Christian ideals" I keep hearing about? And Communism? It's an economic theory that doesn't work and doesn't really exist anywhere. We mostly fight against bullies, religious fanatics, and to save dictators who protect our corporate interests like Exxon. This country has fought some just wars but others are morally very suspect. Sorry man, I just have to speak up. Let the flaming begin. LOL.

Also if taxation was truly voluntary would you have taxes taken out?

LOL Jean. Of course I would pay taxes even if they were voluntary. Otherwise, we'd have no infrastructure. Yes government is inefficient. Maybe if everyone voted we'd get some better people in office...maybe not. We really need to think of the human race as a sort of bee hive. We need to get things done together or we're in trouble. Too many people opt out of the process and that's a big reason we've got such a mess. If we all lived in an anarchist utopia it would probably look like slum.

I would not for I could contribute more $$ to what I voluntarily choose.

I have no further comments for I do not have enough time to break apart the mass ignorance here. A big reason we are in this mess is because government not of people not voting. Man, sorry but that is just ridiculous.

If I was to take the time and actually type something worth reading out, it would just be met with "LOL haha ahaha ooooh Jean", so it is not worth it.

I'm not going to change your mind one iota I'm sure from any of my superficial arguments. I do think though that while I'm unhappy about the current state of this country and this world that you must feel much worse about it. I'm sorry for that.
