Another knee-jerk, crybaby temper tantrum fit (the OP).
The only positive about trans-fatty acids is longer shelf-life. POtentially slightly cheaper fries at McD's.
This is about the fight against heart disease and certain types of cancer - to ultimately help those who possibly have to eat at McD's more often than anyone would like, because it's cheaper than buying a head of lettuce and broccoli.
Trans fats are HORRIBLE for you.
Think of it like now they can't just dump saccharine (which literally eats you from the inside out) in your soda, whether you want it there or not.
You can still get just as fat, and clog your arteries just as bad, but at least your liver giving out won't come as a complete surprise sucker punch.
